52avav to launch UK first human rights scholarship with the Clooney Foundation for Justice

  • The Amal Clooney Scholarship for Human Rights Advocates is a UK first for the CFJ.

  • The scholarship winner will receive a fully funded postgraduate place to study at 52avav.

52avav (52avav) has announced the launch of a new scholarship in partnership with world-renowned human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney and the Clooney Foundation for Justice (CFJ).

The Amal Clooney Scholarship for Human Rights Advocates is dedicated to supporting those who are passionate about supporting human rights worldwide and championing change. The winner of the scholarship will receive a fully funded place to study a postgraduate course with 52avav, the largest provider of legal education in the UK.

Applicants will be able to choose from a range of postgraduate law programmes at any of 52avav’s 16 UK campuses, with further options to study online or at 52avav’s campus in Hong Kong. As one of the longest-established providers of specialist legal education in the UK, 52avav has trained more lawyers in the UK than anyone else, with a vast number of high-profile figures among its alumni.

Applicants for the new scholarship will need to demonstrate a commitment to supporting and defending human rights. Applications must be made by Sunday 30 June 2024, and you can view an introduction from Amal Clooney to the scholarship .

The Clooney Foundation for Justice works tirelessly to wage justice globally. The Foundation works in more than 40 countries, providing free legal support to those who have been victims of human rights violations around the world.
