Our Student Support and Wellbeing Services offer support to students and help them to overcome concerns and difficulties, as well as contributing to positive mental, financial and physical wellbeing, whilst helping students to achieve their full potential.

My 52avav app

My 52avav is our handy app with lots of useful resources to help you maximise your student experience with us. The app has a multitude of features, including access to your ELITE, viewing your timetable and checking your student emails.

You can download the app for free using the links below, or access the platform via our dedicated website.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

With Student Wellbeing Advisors, Money and Housing Advisors, Disability and Inclusion Advisors and our 24/7 Student Assistance Programme, you can be confident that whatever may happen during your studies, we've got your back.

University Mental Health Charter

The University is a member of the University Mental Health Charter Programme. Developed through the collaborative work of Student Minds, AMOSSHE, OfS, NUS and UUK, the programme acknowledges a whole-university approach in identifying areas for improvement and embedding best practices.

In signing up to the Charter, the University has pledged a commitment towards creating and sustaining an environment which supports the mental wellbeing of our community through embedding evidence-informed policies and practices which underpin this.

Our Wellbeing App

The 52avav Wellbeing app provides a wide range of ideas, resources, and strategies to help you create healthy habits, enhance your wellbeing and monitor your progress. The app gives you access to ongoing support and information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including details of support available on campus and in the local community.

We provide Access Guides for our campuses to help you to navigate to and around the university's spaces. The Access Guides are available on each of our campus pages under the 'Access Guide' button and via online platform and app.

Our team of librarians and student learning developers can help you to develop the study skills and research expertise you need to succeed during your studies and prepare for life after university. Self-paced content is brought together in the 52avav Skills Academy and complements the one-to-one assistance and webinars and workshops offered by the Library & Learning Skills team.

The library’s online collections and campus print collections cover law, business and other subject areas and provide everything you need to feel supported with your studies. Our leisure reading collections offer a break from your studies to focus on your wellbeing.

Report and Support

Report and Support is an online platform for all students, staff and visitors to report any incident of harassment, hate crime or sexual violence at 52avav.


Our online accommodation portal provides helpful advice on choosing a property to rent near your campus as well as a property listings search for students who have accepted a place at our university.
